The Council’s financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
The annual budget is approved by the Council in January and determines the level at which the annual precept is set.
Each year, the Council submits its accounts in the form of an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) to its external auditor, PKF Littlejohn LLP, 15 Westferry Circus, London E14 4HD.
The Council’s finances, procedures, and governance arrangements are subject to an independent external audit every year to ensure compliance and accountability.
